1) Receipt/production of data
Nishio begins by accepting simple plan drawings from customers. Based on these drawings, the Company produces detailed plan data and proceeds with design.
Producing high-precision, high-quality glass and mirrors requires a wide range of processing equipment. Here we introduce the processing equipment and machinery we use at Nishio to create the glass and mirrors that accentuate customer locations.
Cut surfaces of glass are extremely dangerous if left as they are. This vertical automatic edge grinder rounds the cut surfaces of glass. Nishio rounds all sharp glass edges to ensure safety.
Nishio introduced this computerized numerical control (CNC) processor to enable faster processing of irregular-shaped surfaces, using computer-assisted design (CAD). The device can scan a plan diagram received by e-mail or a plywood or other model. The CNC processor can even process semicircular plate glass and laminated glass, significantly expanding the range of processing techniques in Nishio’s toolkit.
The laminator stretches thin films across glass and mirrors. Film application is simple and the finished product is beautifully rendered.
This machine chamfers mirrors of irregular shapes, such as dresser mirrors. Regardless of the shape of the mirror, the chamfer is neat and cleanly executed.
This machine can punch a wide variety of holes large and small. Holes can be circular or rectangular. Depending on the hole size, Nishio can accept orders for hole processing using etching.
We will now introduce you to the entire sequence of production steps at Nishio, from initial discussion of plan drawings to final product finishing. Nishio conducts all processes in-house from design and planning discussions to fabrication and installation.
Nishio begins by accepting simple plan drawings from customers. Based on these drawings, the Company produces detailed plan data and proceeds with design.
From the plan drawings, Nishio fabricates the actual glass or mirror. We carefully confirm any tiny errors between the data and the fabricated product and make the necessary adjustments.
Following fine adjustment, the product is complete. Nishio delivers the completed product to the customer, taking full responsibility for safe transfer.
As part of its efforts to contribute to the community, Nishio offers tours of its factory.
When Nishio produces glass or mirrors based on plan drawings or design documents entrusted to the Company by customers, the results intended by the people who produced the designs are many and various. We at Nishio take care to interpret those desires accurately, to translate desires into tangible products in line with each customer’s vision.
Glass and mirror products are intimately associated with people’s daily lives. By demonstrating the processes by which our glass and mirrors are cut and processed, Nishio creates a vital channel of communication with its customers. Factory tours thus present a vital opportunity for us to grow.
